FanChants, the world’s leading authority on football chants, has released
their top five most popular songs from the first half of Euro 2016 – and
Northern Ireland have taken top spot during the tournament with their upbeat
chart sensation ‘Will Griggs Is On Fire’.
The chart has been collated from the number of chants that have been
played, favourited and downloaded on the FanChants website, Android and
iPhone apps, along with the number of tunes that have been streamed on
Spotify.
Chant expert and FanChants founder, Giles Barkwill, said: “Northern
Ireland fans have undoubtedly played a big part of the Euro 2016
soundtrack with their inventive and funny songs. We’re looking forward to
hearing what they come up with next.”
England fans claimed second place with their clever and witty anthem ‘Don’t
Take Me Home’. The full top five can be listened to here:
1. Will Griggs Is On Fire – Northern Ireland
